Vermeer

Designed Website

Client: Vermeer

Website: Coming soon, site still in development phase

Info: Vermeer.com is my baby right now. It’s the biggest site I’ve ever designed. Not only are there tons of products, content and videos but it’s a global site that translates to 6 different languages. YES, 6 DIFFERENT LANGUAGES. German is the longest. Chinese is the shortest. Night and day. All the text had to be kept HTML which means no images containing text. It limited the design somewhat, but I worked with it. You’ll see lots of color blocks and textures as elements. The site is in development right now. Soon we will be populating with a CMS.

Jolly Time

Designed Website & Developed Website

Client: JOLLY TIME® Popcorn

Website: www.jollytime.com/

Info: :) Oh yum! I feel like a proud momma when I walk through the grocery store and see Jolly Time popcorn. This site was developed around the same time that the new box came out. They love their new box and insisted on a bright orange site, so the design really reflects the new packaging with a few ‘video’ surprises! I did all the front end development inside their CMS. (creating templates, styling templates, developing and streaming flash video pieces, building receipe sliders, populating the site and more) Learning the CMS, and learning how to develop in the CMS presented it’s challenges along the way. I had to keep in close touch with the company who created the CMS to achieve everything I wanted. JollyTime.com is special for it’s online shopping cart and recipe section. There are a lot of layers to the design and development. I hope you’ll take a look.

Standard Golf

Designed Website Concept

Client: Standard Golf

Info: Client and internal creative team loved this, but sadly the client didn’t buy it. This design is one of my favorites. I took elements from their new catalog and turned them into ‘never seen before’ sweet product navigation. You’ll see lots of fun textures on this one and you’ll probably feel like golfing when you’re done looking at it, too.

Geonav

Designed Website Concept

Client: Geonav/Johnson Outdoors Inc.

Info: We won the pitch with this! (and other creative, too) This product, basically a fancy GPS for a boat, is still in development. They are almost ready to move forward with their real site. This will be a cool product and they want a high-end site to go with it. When developed, the site will be multilingual, so I kept that in the back of my mind while I designed. A simple, relaxing, vacation feel is what I was going for.

Lung Protection Therapy

Designed Website & Developed Flash Animations

Client: Schering-Plough Animal Health

Website: www.lungprotectiontherapy.com

Info: Lots of content. Lots and lots of content about cattle antibotics. My job was to make it easy to read, understandable and less technical. The client absolutely loved this site. I got a call from the art director to tell me “Wonderful job, this client can be fussy and they had no changes!” Cool! I like it, too.

IUOW

Designed Website & Developed Website

Client: Rain Bird

Website: www.iuowfilm.com

Info: IUOW-Short for Intelligent Use of Water. In 2006 Rain Bird started sponsoring an online film competition to raise awareness about conserving water. This microsite handled the whole competition up until the award ceremony at the end. This is 2007’s design with a facelift for 2008’s competition. Although this competition is all about water, we decided to literally go ‘green’ with it! 2007’s iuowfilm.com was recoginzed by CSSElite.com, CSSMania.com and CSSWonder.com for excellent design and CSS development. Webdesignerdepot.com included the site on a post about typography! It also recivied a bonze AIGA award in 2008. IUOW got a lot of attention and it was a blast to make!

The Doctors of USC

Designed Website Concept

Client: USC Care Medical Group

Info: This was the 2nd concept pitched to USC, a giant hospital out in Cali. I went for a photo-journalistic feel on this one. Very national geographicish. Kept things clean, tucked and tiddy. The current site shares ideas, elements and thoughts from this layout.

Sig Sauer Signature Project

Designed Website Concept

Client: SIG SAUER

Info: SIG SAUER has a huge fan club. The fans are extremely passionate about guns and started their own SIG SAUER online community. Sig decided it was time to jump on-board and offer them the real deal. So this site was pitched to SIG SAUER. It’s an online community and portal. You can only join this social network if you are invited by SIG SAUER. The first year would be free with gun purchase, and then if you wanted to continue your membership a fee would apply. It was a lot of fun to design a social network and work on such a big brand.

CUMC Bariatrics Microsite

Designed Website Concept

Client: Creighton University Medical Center

Info: Bariatric Surgery is a really big desicion, even embarrassing for some. The choice can’t be made overnight. This site was concepted for Creighton University Medical Center to show compassion, support patients before and after their surgery and educate people on the procedure. Try to pretend that you are in the patients shoes...What kind of website would you trust? That’s what I did when I designed this site. I put myself in the mind of a patient and designed a site that I would trust. Creighton did not buy this site. Later we showed these layouts to Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center, a large hospital in Burbank, California, and we won some new business with it. They loved this creative approach.
